Stopped by on a Friday evening and were seated right away. The portions are huge, which is a plus as Korean food isn't the most affordable. Service was kind of hit or miss; after our waiter took our order and brought out our food, it was hard to get his (or anyone else's) attention after that.

We got the seafood soup, army stew, and chives pancake. The seafood soup was really good. I liked the octopus. The fish was too bony to eat though. The chives pancake was good, but a little bland. The army stew was good too.

This place can be a little pricey but the food is good and the portions are large. We got the budae jjigae, seafood pajeon, and grilled pork belly. The army stew came in a large pot and was boiled on a portable stove at the table. It was incredibly filling, spicy, and flavorful. It comes with two types of noodles, rice cakes, sausage, spam, tofu, and some vegetables--very hearty! The samgyeopsal came out sizzling and went very well with the sauce they prepared. The seafood pancake was thick, but still crispy on the edges. They also gave lots of banchan and were very generous with refilling. The waitresses here are Korean aunties and they're so nice and welcoming!

Gold Spoon - Where the Food is Divine and the Server is a Psychic If you haven't been to Gold Spoon in Carrollton, you're missing out on some life-changing Korean food--and possibly a glimpse into your own future. I came for the bossam, and let me tell you, it was so tender that I'm convinced it had been slow-cooked by angels. Every bite melted in my mouth like it was saying, "You deserve this." And the chive pancake? Crispier than my WiFi signal on a good day. Each bite had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor, making me question why I ever wasted my time on anything less. But here's where things got interesting--my server, with a knowing smile, casually mentioned, "See you tomorrow." At first, I laughed. But then I took another bite of that bossam, felt the crunch of the pancake, and suddenly, I realized... they were right. I would be back tomorrow. Gold Spoon doesn't just serve food--it serves destiny. Five stars. See you all there (probably tomorrow).

Delicious and really friendly service. Banchan are plentiful and refilled - faves were the kimchi. I loved the short rib soup - clear soup and tender short ribs. I didn't love the bossam to be honest, but the pancake was awesome and crispy!

One of the better Korean food experiences I've had. Great, friendly service. Nice atmosphere. On a cold day, the rice cake / dumpling soup was perfect! Enjoyed the seafood pancake. Banchan was tasty and fresh. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious with kind, helpful service that will walk you through the process if you're new to hotpot dining. We had the Budae which is a mishmash of meats and tofu. The broth was absolutely delicious. There are tons of other items on the menu that sounded delicious so I recommend bringing a group and sampling!

Food and service were fantastic! Super excited to finally try this spot out after learning about it months ago. We were immediately seated but I think we came at a right time. 10 mins after we sat down, lots of people came in but majority of them also had reservations. Not sure of reservation requirements though. For the price, the food quality and taste were good. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful, tofu soup had assortment of proteins and was tasty.

Gold Spoon is my new favorite Korean restaurant! We arrived around 6pm on a Thursday and were greeted by the host and seated very quickly. When we arrived, there were not a lot of people yet but everyone arrived later. The side dishes came out quickly after we were seated and they were delicious. My favorite side dishes were the potato and the fish cakes! This place has the best side dishes in DFW. We ordered the Beef Soft Tofu Soup and the Bibimbap. All the portions were great for the price we paid. They were very generous with their portions and the Bibimbap was very large. The Beef Soft Tofu Soup came with the Korean purple rice but it was slightly salty for my liking. Eating it with rice takes away some of the saltiness. The servers were very attentive and gave us a second round of side dishes. To finish our meal, we were given the cinnamon drink as a dessert. The ambiance was very good; there were a lot of tables for large groups. They had a section where you can have Korean BBQ but we didn't order that.

I recently visited this spot and have a great experience! The place is pretty small so either come a little early before typical meal times or be ready to wait. First off, they had a lot of tasty banchan options for you to nibble on as you wait for the main dishes. The variety and quality of the side dishes really set the tone for the meal. Now, the real star of the show was the bossam--hands down, the best i've had in a restaurant! The pork was tender and juicy, and the flavors were spot on. Highly recommend if you're a fan of pork belly. The bulgogi mushroom soup was an interesting twist. I've never had bulgogi in soup form before. If you like your food to be on the sweet side, this dish might be for you. Personally the sweetness was a bit overwhelming so I ended up adding some kimchi juice into my bowl to balance it out, which did the trick, but I could see some people really enjoying it as is. Their seafood pancake is also pretty solid--crispy on the outside but not overly greasy, which I appreciated.
